Outlets reported on 2 December 2011 on the World Aids Campaign and GBV celebrations that was organized by the Ministry of Health and An-Najah National University, respectively, both funded by UNFPA, which took place at An-Najah National University in Nablus. “We, at the UN HIV/AIDs Theme Group, are in close contact with the Ministry of Health and National AIDs Committee to combat AIDs in Palestine” Ms. Barbara Piazza-Georgi, UNFPA Representative and UN HIV/AIDs Chair said. On the other hand the GBV campaign that was also launched at An-Najah National University was a collaborative initiative by UN agencies and the Community Service Center as they put they collaborate their efforts to define what GBV is, its purpose and goal.
