This report provides a comprehensive look into the devastating effects of the ongoing war on Gaza on its youth. Accounting for about one-quarter of Gaza’s population, young people have endured unprecedented trauma, losing family, friends, homes, and access to education. In addition to the physical destruction, the mental health of Gaza’s youth has sharply deteriorated, with many grappling with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Drawing on a survey of over 1,000 young people, this report highlights the urgent need for an adolescent and youth-centered humanitarian response to address the dire consequences of violence, displacement, and the disruption of essential services.
