This report sheds light on the GBV trends in Gaza as reported by the GBV Case Management Taskforce (CMTF) during September 2024. It highlights the response efforts, the limitations in addressing GBV in the current context, and key recommendations to strengthen prevention, mitigation, and response to GBV.

The CMTF reports that the number of new cases opened each month is four times higher than the number of cases closed, revealing significant gaps in meeting the growing demand for services. Challenges such as limited resources, constrained access, widespread displacement, increasing GBV cases, lack of equipment and infrastructure, shortages of supplies, and the absence of shelters for survivors have further hindered the ability to respond comprehensively to GBV. To address these gaps, the task force emphasizes the need to provide advanced GBV case management training, particularly for newly recruited case managers. Expanding the number of GBV shelters, including dedicated facilities for child survivors. Additionally, increasing GBV service points to maintain confidentiality and privacy in service delivery.
