On 7 December 2009 UNFPA joined the Ministry of Social Affairs in marking the "Solidarity Day with the Palestinians".  The event was attended by Ms. Barbara Piazza-Georgi, UNFPA Representative, who stressed the ongoing partnership with the Palestinian people, Minister Majeda Al-Masri and other Palestinian figures.  The event included a number of cultural activities.
