The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH) continues to advocate and lobby for SCR 1325 and 1889, a project that is funded by UNFPA. The 8-day training session that was conducted by MIFTAH to introduce 1325 to 50 women from the West Bank that was “both beneficial and comprehensive to the 50 participants who participated in the first ever summer camp conducted for women” Najat, Head of Dweik Agricultural Cooperative” said. “Through fun activities and visits to springs in the valley women were able to understand their important roles in their own families as well as their rights”.
