In response to the emerging needs due to the three-day escalation in Gaza, UNFPA  delivered 500 dignity kits to women and girls  in  the north and south of Gaza, and Gaza City

“Our house was affected by the airstrikes and when we left we could not take anything with us,” a woman said.  “Those kits came at the right time and will be helpful at the current period.” She added.

A rapid needs assessment showed that the GBV service providers are the most in need for psychosocial support. UNFPA, through its implementing partner, Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, organized a self-care initiative targeting 30 service providers. "To ensure that service providers are able to provide high quality services to survivors, UNFPA worked on improving the wellbeing of those service providers through providing training in order to alleviate the pressure caused by the current situation” says Amira Mohana, UNFPA gender associate.
