UNFPA country office welcomed Mr. Hafedh Chekir, Regional Director, Arab States Regional Office and formerly UNFPA oPt Representative- September 2004 until July 2008). During his visit from 22 - 25 April 2009, UNFPA oPt co organized a welcoming reception which also welcomed Ms. Barbara Piazza-Georgi as UNFPA Representative oPt country office. The reception was attended by a number of PA officials, UN agencies, religious leaders, and UNFPA partners.
