Outlets reported on 29 November 2011 on the continued celebrations that are part of the 16 campaign on gender-based-violence. They were carried out by the Bureij Women's Health Center in the Gaza Strip and funded by UNFPA. Celebrations targeted women from central Gaza, and included performances like Dabkeh, a small play on domestic violence reflecting lives of some women in the Palestine society. "Today's celebration is part of the many that were carried out since on 25 November 2011, and part of the 16 day campaign against gender based violence" Ms. Firyal Thabet said. "We, in the Center, do our utmost to ease their pain; either through giving discount in fees for women who visit our center, through giving them legal counseling, and through such celebrations that bring all women together to put a smile on their face" she continued.
