The year 2016 witnessed an increase of 5.8% in cancer cases in comparison with 2015, and cancer was the second leading cause of mortality as 14% of mortality cases were caused by cancer, after cardiovascular diseases (30.6%). Worldwide, breast cancer kills a woman every 15 minutes. In Palestine, breast cancer affecting Palestinian women represents 15% of cancer cases.
